Speakers inspire Leadership at our May event

Latrobe Women In Business speakers May 2016

“Work hard and believe in yourself” were golden tips to remember.

The value of women in leadership is a hot topic, and our speakers shared their ideas and experience with us on how they have achieved in their own leadership roles. The panel discussion that followed and question time gave everyone the chance to seek advice, opinions and share their own story too.

Thanks to our speakers Fiona Richardson MP, Kate Roffey and Arfa Sarfaraz Khan as well as our MC Celine Foenander who impressed and inspired. We will all try to be ‘deaf frogs’ in our own leadership/career journeys.

An opportunity to network over lunch before the speakers started was a great way to catch up and meet some new faces. The Premiere Function Centre once again looked after us with great service and a delicious choice of finger food.

Our next event is a workshop you won’t want to miss on 7 September, more information will be announced shortly.

Inclusive Leadership Event Wrap-up

Latrobe Women In Business event

Thanks to everyone who participated in our September event, Inclusive Leadership; the heart of great people.

The workshop was an opportunity to learn how to apply strategies to deal with challenging behaviours, explore the use of positive interactions and identify a new level of thinking. The program made us all consider our own interactions and behaviours and what drives us, as well as of those we work with. Understanding these is the key to managing them in a positive way to achieve the best from ourselves and our employees/workmates.

Our presenter Karen Morris was interactive, engaging and full of relevant knowledge and tips from her own experience in various roles.

To take a look at images form the event please see our gallery.
